2010 - 2011 Home School Council
St. Brendan Home School Association serves as the major two-way communication link between parents and school. This association shall seek to establish and maintain clear and direct communication between parents and the school and to provide educational and other programs of interest to parents. Each parent, as primary educator, is needed as a cooperative and supportive member of the St. Brendan School Community. Your child needs you, your faculty team needs you. Therefore, parents are expected to participate fully at meetings and your presences at the various school functions impacts directly upon your child.
Our Home School Association is composed of parents or guardians of students in the school, teachers, administrators, pastor, priests and any adult who has an active interest in St. Brendan School. The purpose of the Home School Association is:
To foster the advancement of Christian education and the welfare of the children/students of St. Brendan School.
To promote the mutual educational responsibilities of the parents, teachers, and administrators of the school.
To encourage and help promote the mutual interests of the students, faculty, and parents.
To direct and coordinate parental support to the school through specific assistance activities, social functions, and fundraisers.
To organize political action of parents as advocates regarding local, state, and federal legislation that affects Catholic schools as well as the lives of students, teachers, and parents.
If you are interested in being an active part of the Home School Council, wish to help with fundraisers or have concerns you would like addressed at the next meeting; contact the school office.
